Event 叫：Dance in Transit Festival to Grace VTA and Downtown San Jose

San Jose, Calif. – A great form of entertainment will grace Downtown
San Jose and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Light
Rail on the weekend of September 18th and 19th.  The Dance in Transit
Festival will celebrate dance culture and showcase emerging South Bay
dance artists during the outdoor, two-day festival.

Spectators can enjoy a 90-minute, modern dance concert spread out
through various locations along VTA Light Rail all for the price of a
VTA transit pass.  Festival goers can park in any of VTA’s park and
ride lots, purchase an 8-Hour Light Rail Excursion Pass and ride light
rail to any downtown station (Paseo de San Antonio, St. James and the
Convention Center Stations) to enjoy the performances.  Here’s how it
works:
 

The guided light rail tours will begin at San Carlos Street, between
Market & Almaden in front of the Civic Auditorium, departing every
hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.  Stops will
be made along the light rail line for spectators to deboard and watch
dance groups perform for approximately 15 minutes until the next train
arrives.
 

The Creators, recent San Jose State graduates Natalie Quilici and
Claire Alexander, have been working to bring free dance to public
spaces for the past year.  “The event will bring people to downtown
San Jose while promoting the use of public transportation,” Quilici
explains.  “It allows people who wouldn’t normally get to experience
modern dance do so for the cost of a light rail ticket.”
