Fixed mortgage programs for conforming, super conforming, jumbo are at new historical low as QE3 takes effect with $40B/m MBS into the market and the markets sink from the 5 year peaks on EU Fears.
On August 31, 2012, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that it has directed the Mortgage Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) to increase Guarantee Fees (G-Fees) effective November 1, 2012, which means mortgages will be subject to higher G-Fees in result of higher rate. It is better to close your refinance before that.
