Since founding Green Ivy Educational Consulting, Ana has become a nationally recognized innovator of motivational organization and time-management strategies for junior high and high school students.
Her first book, That Crumpled Paper Was Due Last Week, was released by Perigee (a division of Penguin Books) in January 2010. As a college counselor, Ana has successfully helped students – including Division I athletes, scholar athletes, and students with special circumstances – apply to a wide range of colleges throughout the United States.
She personally spends four to six weeks each year traveling to colleges and universities around the nation and abroad in her quest to find colleges that fit the needs of her students. In addition, she spends a significant amount of time volunteering each year with children who have life-threatening illnesses.
She is currently the Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Regional Advisory Board for The Painted Turtle, a camp in Lake Elizabeth, CA that is a part of the Association of Hole in the Wall Gang Camps.
A graduate of Duke University, she holds a Masters in School Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of San Francisco.
Ana is an active member of the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Higher Educational Consultants Association (HECA) and the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), participating in conferences and workshops throughout the year.
