心得,感想和经验: 1) The interview is VERY VERY important. The interviewer told him he was a "sure admit," which we did not believe at the time.
2) He never attended extra classes for math, SAT, violin, piano, etc. However, he has extensive travel experiences and he has lived in several different places, which might have helped in "diversity."
3) Even if you plan to study sciences, it is also very important to show proficiency in the humanities.
4) Essays might be important, but make sure to write your own.
5) Be VERY VERY VERY LUCKY. The process is not a science but an art. They are trying to form a diverse class, so nothing is purely merit.
