There is a much better way to spend the weeklong winter break for your techie kid!
Come join us for 5 half days of non-stop fun of creating great multimedia projects using the most advanced technology today. At the end of this camp, your middle school student will be equipped with hands on knowledge and skills to infuse their school projects with more innovation and creativity. Bring your laptops and favorite digital camera, we will learn how to design digital art, edit photos and make videos in a fun, creative environment.
Explore the professionalsof Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Microsoft Movie Maker, can be used to accomplish many different design tasks, from illustration to app development. This course demonstrates core concepts and techniques that can be applied to any workflow—for print, school projects, or presentation that will find their way into other applications. Teacher Maggie Chen explains the elements that make up vector graphics (paths, strokes, and fills) while showing how to use each of the drawing tools, and demonstrates how to combine and clean up paths and organize them into groups and layers working with color, effects, and much more. No previous experience required.
Grade: 5th-8th graders
Session I : 2/11-2/15: 9am – 5 pm. Fee：$495 +$20 material fee.
Session II: 2/18-2/22: 9am – 12:30pm. Fee: $300 + $20 material fee.
You can leave your child to stay after the class to stay for a homework session until 6:30 p.m.
The homework center will offer the kids english, chinese, and math practice.
This will cost $20 per afternoon.

Course Schedule:
- Day one: use Adobe Illustrator to make logos or icons, graphics，flyers。
- Day two: get the basics of Photoshop to enhance your photo and design… also bring home a customized T-shirt with your own art work inprinted.
- Day three: introduction 1 of flash animations to make your project come alive.
- Day four: introduction 2 of of flash animations.
- Day five: Basic computer game design introduction. The kids will play their own designed games. (会玩游戏不稀奇，会设计游戏才可以更让孩子对学习有兴趣。）
The schedule can change to fit your child’s needs.

Illustrator® is the definitive go-to software for graphic designers. Whatever you are trying to design — logos, typefaces, icons, graphics, illustrations — your first stop should be Illustrator®, hands down. Illustrator® renders "vector graphics," meaning that the file created is highly portable, can be used across various softwares and mediums, and can even be re-sized without losing any quality. Time to stop doodling in your notebook and start doodling on your notebook.
Photoshop®. Period. Need we say more? Learning Photoshop® is definitely something you’ll be glad you did, whether you are “Photoshopping” funny pictures of your friends or making big bucks as a professional graphic designer. If you want to learn how to Photoshop® like the big boys, wait no futher!-
Flash® is an extremely versatile software, appealing to both artists and programmers. Myriad types of projects can be authored in Flash®: animations, games, parts of websites (or entire websites!) and more! Flash® also has its very own programming language, ActionScript (the current version is ActionScript 3.0), used to foster interactivity. If you are the kind of person that likes doing a little bit of everything — code, design, games, animation, you name it– then Flash® is the software for you!
