北加州北大校友会主办讲座: A New Look at Office Politics – 9/11/10

PKUAANC Career Development team proudly presents

Career Development Forum Series #5 – Organizational Savvy:  A New Look at Office Politics – 9/11/10
Have you noticed that knowledge alone is not what gets you ahead in an organization?  “A”s in school, while getting you into the corporate door, are not enough to keep you there or to propel you forward.  To succeed in a work place, you need organizational savvy, or emotional intelligence on an organizational level, so you can move an organization forward in an appropriate direction, or gain organizational impact with integrity.
Some of us learned these skills when we learned to share with others in a school playground.  However, those days are far away, and we need to play at a much more sophisticated level now.  Therefore, we invite you to come to take a refresher course or to learn anew these organizations skills from the master, Mr. George Koo, a person who has crossed many cultural and career boundaries, and moves well in any organization.
Dr. Koo believes a basic characteristic necessary for personal success in Corporate America is one’s ability to interact with others spontaneously and extemporaneously. So bring your most pressing questions and be prepared for a lively give and take in a Q&A session following his prepared remarks.
