The poem resonate my feeling of "it’s difficult to let go" , and the realization of how limited we are to help our children in the life journey they pursue.  The poem also comforted me in knowing that our kids always can reach out to take our lord’s hand and he will walk with them to the end.

I cannot choose the path

That you must venture to …

Let your heart take the lead

Whatever you pursue.

 

You are my child, my treasure

It’s dificult to let go…

Although your journey will be long

I must let you grow.

If the journey weakens you

because of its demands…

I’ll be walking by your side__

Reach out and take my hand.

 

If you ask, I’ll promise

To walk with you till the end…

But my love will be steadfast

As you round the bend
