Parent Appreciation Essay Contest
The deadline has been extended to midnight on Sunday 7/6/2014
Many parents say that being a parent is the world’s most rewarding job, but it is also the most challenging one, especially for those who are first generation immigrant parents. Their struggles are many including culture shock, job discrimination, and communication issues. Also, being a parent in today’s world is harder than it was ever before. Not many of us can say that our grandparent’s generation dealt with the dual pressures of raising children and working.
In this essay contest, tell or show us what your parents/guardians go through in terms of pressures and stresses. You may choose to focus on a single parent or both. We would love to hear from you and get your unique perspective on your parents.
