English Comprehension and Writing

Writing skills are necessary for many classes and standardized tests, and required for successful professional communication in any business.

Our instructor, Mrs. Milon, has been holding many one-on-one tutoring sessions.  Parents and students continue to give great reviews of these sessions. To accommodate more students. we have decided to open up additional classes.

Time: 9/23 to 12/9, every Tuesday. total 12 classes.

3:45 to 4:45pm, for 5th to 7th grade. The tuition fee is $300.

7:00 to 8:30pm, for 7th to 8th grade. The tuition fee is $450.

This course is designed for middle school students to improve their reading comprehension, grammar and writing skills.  Throughout the course, students will read articles and short stories regarding a variety of subjects.  Class discussion will center on improving comprehension, critical thinking and analysis of the written word.  In-class exercises will also help students differentiate between proper and improper writing mechanics and improve their overall reading and writing skills.   The classes will be tailored to grade level.

Mrs. Milon has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism, from California State University, Fresno and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Golden Gate University School of Law. After practicing law for nine years she turned her attention to raising her family. For the last ten years has been homeschooling her two children. Her great love of language arts and literature is evident in her passion for teaching her children well in these disciplines and in their other school subjects. Carolyn is dedicated to helping students excel in their language arts skills.
