讲座 “Entrepreneurship in the Global Marketplace”

Global Entrepreneurship at Stanford’s E-Week 2011

Come hear Tim Draper, Founder of DFJ, and other successful venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and executives speak on what it takes to start and run businesses in the highly-competitive and interconnected global  marketplace.

On Tuesday, March 1 from 3:30-6:00 pm, the Stanford Program on Regions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SPRIE) and Alibaba.com will host “Entrepreneurship in the Global Marketplace."  Held at the Bechtel Conference Center in Encina Hall at Stanford University, the seminar is the first in a series being conducted at several California universities under the auspices of the Schwarzenegger Emerging Entrepreneur Initiative. 

About the event
Famed venture capitalist Tim Draper will kick off the event, sharing his insight on trends and strategies relevant to global entrepreneurship.  New research will be presented on the rise and global impact of Chinese e-commerce; an executive from Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.com will talk about growth from a start-up to billion dollar company and its activities to support small businesses.  Lessons will be shared by international VCs and entrepreneurs whose businesses depend on international trade.  
 
Following the event, attendees are invited for Chinese appetizers and networking.  All attendees will have an opportunity to receive an extensive toolkit of information and offers for launching businesses using global sourcing and trade.

This Stanford E-week event is free and open to students, the Stanford University community, and the general public.
