What is SB 48…

SB 48 went into effect of January this year. It was a bill that passed through our legislature and was enthusiastically signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown. SB is nothing more than politicians using the public school system to force their radical agendas on children. SB 48 is a statewide mandate. SB 48 requires the introduction of transgender, homosexual, and bisexual lifestyles to children as young as kindergarten through the public school curriculum.

This law is not only a usurpation of parental rights, but it is also an added expense at a time when California cannot handle it. This law forces teachers to discuss things with children that should not be discussed in the classroom, and these things may often contradict what a child is taught at home. This law has terrible implications for parents, students, and teachers.

The CLASS Act…

The CLASS Act is the initiative to Stop SB 48. The CLASS (Children Learning Accurate Social Science) Act would repeal SB 48 by striking the changes made to the educational codes that SB 48 changed to include instruction on LGBT lifestyles. The CLASS Act advocates an accurate teaching of history. An individual will not be left out of curriculum for their sexual orientation, but they will not be included simply because of it. Curriculum should not be determined by the politicians that generally have no experience in this area, but by parents, school boards, and teachers.

Send to: Stop SB 48 660 J St. Suite 250 Sacramento, CA 95814

Please note especially the following instructions:

IMPORTANT! Do not fill anything out for anyone else, even yo ur spouse. This is a common problem and results in signatures being rendered invalid.
Sign once only! If you have signed a petition, do not sign it again. Duplicate signatures are disqualified. The County Registrar of Voters office keeps track of how many times someone has signed a specific petition. If this occurs, they will deduct a certain percentage from the valid signatures.
If you have a middle name and don’t remember if you added it when you registered, include it anyway. It’s better to have more than less.
Do not mix counties. One county per form
