One day, two months after the incident, Didi came home starving without lunch.  He ran out of his lunch money again!  After getting over my initial shock, I blurted out series of questions "What did you do this time?" "Did you forget what I’ve told you?"  Didi was obviously puzzled as well.  He said he did exactly as what we asked him and could not understand why his money ran out again.  Based on the experience last time, we resolved to wait till tomorrow when his Dad gets another transaction report from the school.  And I warned him that I would take serious measures this time if the report turn out to be true.

Didi came back to me five minutes later and confessed "Mom, come to think of it, I did sometimes buy drinks".  I shrugged it off.  Another five minutes, he came to the kitchen again, "Mom, I remembered that I bought two cookies last week." "OK, let’s wait tll tomorrow, go back to your homework."  I just did not have the heart to scorn him anymore, he has already started the self examination process.

We started the second round of examination/cross examination when Daddy came home.  His daddy’s reaction was "What? Again? What happened to your $20? Do you still have it? Why didn’t you use it for your lunch? I don’t want you to go hungrey."  Didi felt so stupied, he was so nervous and scared about the fact that his account ran out of the money again so soon, he did not even realize that he could still use the $20 for his lunch.  And the money was intended for emergency purposes!  Didi cried for the rest of the night blaming himself.

Daddy called the next morning after visting the school.  "Did has been wronged.  the cashier punched the wrong ID number yesterday.  Didi still has over $200 left in his lunch account"………..
