与时俱进:3D design and 3D printer classes will start next week

30 years ago, it’s amazing that a youth could assemble a radio.

10 years ago, college admission officer would be impressed if a teen could assemble a computer.
Now, 3D comes to mainstream of the times. Let us help your child stranding in the front of times and learn more 3D software application and development.

Instructor Eli W. Admitted by Stanford.

This year Stanford is undoubtedly the most difficult in the history of the admission. Why Eli can standout among others?!Over the past year, he has been developing a lot of  engineering and programming repertoire.  While, his 3D Printed Quadcopter project might help him to knock on the door of Stanford. Eli is profession in 3D Printer, and have a lot of achievements in this area.

This summer, Eli comes to SpringLight and lunch the 3D design and 3D printer class.

3D Design Course Description
This 2 week intensive workshop is designed to allow aspiring engineering students to have hands-on experience and training in 3D modelling. Students will be learning to use industry-standard Solidworks modelling software to create objects from everyday life, and will be able to gain a better understanding of mechanical engineering through use of the software. This is a good way to jump start students into both robotics programs in high school such as VEX, FTC, and FRC, as well as industry design. Students will also receive a 3D printed model of what they’ve chosen to model in the program at the end. The course requires knowledge of geometry.

3D printer class

7/12, 7/19, 7/26 three whole days (Only 6 students)

Tuition Fee: $600. (if you want to build your own 3D printer and bring home, please buy THIS and bring to the class)

This 5 week workshop is designed to allow aspiring makers and tech enthusiasts to have hands-on experience and training on 3D printers. Students will be engaging in building, tweaking, and maintaining a 3D printer, and may even take home their own 3D printer to take at the end of the workshop. This is a great opportunity to allow students who really would like to use and get familiar with 3D printing, but do not have the resources, to get the experience they would like. The course requires some knowledge of building and wiring. Some 3D modelling and programming experience is recommended.
