上次说过，女儿热衷西方流行音乐，最近正积极准备一个才艺秀，组织了一个三人小乐队。开始选了两首 Train 的当红歌曲《Hey Soul Sister》和《If its love》，忽然发现前一首歌曲不见了，代之为另一首，风格更加婉约忧伤一些，有些片段让人感觉撕心裂肺一样。我问：怎么不唱 Hey Soul Sister 呢，它可是去年销量第一的单曲啊？女儿认为正因为销量第一，大街小巷，无人不知，她才决定撤下。这首我也喜欢，我说，叫什么？“《Break Even》”。“Break even？（这是创投公司最常用的一个词，即公司不再需要依赖风险投资，公司的运营已经可以达到收支平衡，它被看成是一个里程碑，标志着公司达到盈利的开端）”“No，this is not a business song. ”她不肯多解释，我于是下载来仔细听。原来是一首失恋的歌曲，说小伙子与女友分手后，心碎了（heart breaks），崩溃了（falling to pieces），窒息了（all choked up），而女友却很快找到了新欢，欣然前行。
